The wine and holiday resort of Sankt Aldegund is located in the heart of the beautiful Moselle landscape, roughly halfway between Trier and Koblenz. Lovingly restored half-timbered houses in the narrow, winding streets of the old town centre bear witness to the 900-year-old history of the town. Steep vineyards, a large forest area and beautiful vantage points in the beautiful Moselle valley make a hike in this region a very special experience. Due to a local barrage, the Moselle stretches almost like a small lake through the entire valley and offers excellent opportunities for water sports. It is a place where simple village culture and art heritage continues seamlessly from the High Middle Ages to the present day, and which has preserved its townscape essentially unadulterated.
